Ingredients
- 6-8 pieces Cod
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1/3 cup Corn Flour
- 1/2 tsp Fine Salt
- Pepper to taste
- 8 fl oz Beer or Seltzer Water
- Sea Salt to serve
Directions
- Turn fryer dial to 350 degrees to heat the oil. *Wait for green light to turn off
- Meanwhile, pat cod dry with a paper towel
- Mix the flour, salt and pepper in a bowl
- Add in beer or seltzer water just before you are about to fry the fish
- Make sure not mix too much, leave the batter mixture a little bit lumpy for the right outcome of texture
- Coat each piece of cod with a layer of batter
- Place freshly battered cod into fryer basket (3-4 pieces at a time) and drop into the oil
- Let fish fry for at least 5-7 minutes depending on the thickness of your fish
- The color of the batter should be golden brown
- Serve with sea salt and tarter
