Venison Jerky: Thinly Sliced

A thin cut marinated jerky that is sure to impress your family and friends.

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds Venison (lean cuts are best)
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbs Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Meat Tenderizer *optional
Directions
  1. Thinly slice the meat (an electric slicer makes quick work)
  2. Place the venison slices in a zip-top bag
  3. Mix remaining ingredients in separate bowl and pour over venison strips inside of bag
  4. Shake the bag a few times and marinate for 12 hours or overnight for best results
  5. Spread the meat slices in a single layer on the dehydrator trays
  6. Dry at 165 degrees for at least 4-6 hours
  7. When bent, properly dried jerky should crack, but not break
  8. Enjoy!
